We have some exciting opportunities coming up in September that you will want to be part of.
Encounter will be launching on Wednesday the 8th September at 7:30pm. We will be back in the building and Wilnor Tennant will be sharing on our opening night! He will be speaking about Encountering God in the prophetic. Each week we will be worshipping together, hearing from God’s Word and spending time in ministry/prayer. I am really excited for these nights to begin as we encounter God’s presence in worship, Word and prayer! Come along, spread the word and invite a friend!
Pastoral Care Course
We will be running a pastoral care training course in September. It will run for three consecutive Monday nights starting on 20th September and finishing on the 4th October. Each night will begin at 7:30pm and finish at around 9pm. Dean Houston will coming along to take the course. Dean has many years experience in pastoral care, including training others as well as leading pastoral care teams in a church setting.
This is a great opportunity if you are interested in this area of ministry. It will cover areas like the importance of listening, praying, practical support, encouragement and comfort. There will also be some scenarios to work through via role playing.
Numbers will be limited, so if you are interested in attending then please text me (07775039043) or email me at the address below to confirm your place. There will be a small charge of £5 per person to cover the costs of running the course. However, there are some free spaces available if the charge would be a burden. So please don’t let this discourage you from signing up.
Wild at Heart Bible Study
Advance, our men’s ministry, is launching a new Bible Study series called Wild at Heart. It will run for 6 weeks starting on Sunday 26th September at 7pm.

Sign up by texting David (07733140110) and don’t forget to invite someone along with you. This isn’t just for men who attend the church, it is also an opportunity to invite friends or family along too.

Sunday School/Creche/Noah’s Ark
We are very hopeful that we will be able to start our Sunday School, Creche and Noah’s Ark (parent’s and tots) again at the end of September or beginning of October. We are working in the background to make sure when they will be as safe as possible for everyone. Thank you for your patience and we’ll have more news in the next couple of weeks.
On a side note, it has been so good to see some of the young families coming out to church again, thank you.
To help Storehouse continue to operate and to grow further we are asking for people to sign up to a monthly standing order of £5 (or more if you wish). For the price of a cup of coffee and a scone your donation can make a difference for those suffering from food poverty in our local area. With changes to Universal Credits and fuel costs increasing we are anticipating a rough winter for those who are on the bread line.
Please consider setting up this monthly donation so we can play our part in helping those in need. The details you need to setup the standing order are below. If you have any trouble with this please let me or David Spratt know and we’ll try to help.
